This opportunity is for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support a K-12 student in a school setting focused on behavioral intervention. The role involves providing support to a kindergarten student exhibiting aggressive behaviors, requiring both clinical expertise and compassionate care within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one support to address aggressive behaviors
- Assist with life-skills development, including toileting and bathroom support
- Collect and document data accurately for behavior tracking
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote a positive learning environment
Qualifications And Experience
- Active or previously held Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
- Previous school-based experience supporting students with aggressive behaviors is mandatory
- Ability to work full-time hours from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday
- Comfortable with personal care tasks related to toileting/bathroom assistance
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
Location and Duration:
- Position based in Bear, Delaware at a K-12 public school setting
- Contract length through June 12, 2026
- Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
